The Role:

Reporting into the COO, the Sports Media Brand Partnerships Manager will develop, implement and lead the sales and partnership strategy for the business. Boasting high level industry contacts across major US media agencies, brands and sports books, as well as a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a similar role, the Sports Media Brand Partnership Manager  will oversee the partnership sales and client services teams, working alongside the company’s content and social media departments to develop and scale new partnership opportunities with a view to meeting the company’s annual strategic & revenue targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and oversee the company’s partnership sales strategy, specifically as it relates to major US sports sponsors as well as sports book operators; this includes selling media sponsorships, social media integrations, creative solutions, and any other partnership deals (specifically around digital sports betting content) as appropriate  
  • Set sales targets and build a value-led commercialisation strategy around the company’s capabilities, social network reach and content assets
  • Work closely with key stakeholders and senior management to develop and propose forecast targets that are both accurate and met in a timely fashion
  • Cultivate and build relationships with strategic partners at agency holding companies and brand clients
  • Prospect, pitch and negotiate new business brand deals across the company’s video, social and experiential properties
  • Build and manage a sales team focused on building relationships across key agency and client partners
  • Leverage a network of contacts within the industry to develop meaningful new business opportunities
  • Play a critical role in business planning and forecasting to achieve near and long-term business strategy

 

Experience & Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3+ years in a similar role
  • Experience working in a sports betting media business would be a significant advantage
  • Working knowledge of selling against both social media platforms and production services
  • Experience building and managing relationships across business stakeholders, internal and external
  • Demonstrated track record of exceeding client and revenue expectations
  • Strong analytical skills and organisational skills with experience working with cross functional teams
  • Strong communication skills
  • Be intuitive and a go-getter
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, new media, or a related field
