Job Summary:

As part of the Design team, you will collaborate and support best practices in what’s new and next in visual design and digital media. Our team works with all departments across the organization on diverse projects and manages multiple work streams to proactively create innovative outcomes and translate brand insights into impactful graphics. Daily tasks will include creating graphic content for a variety of platforms such as social media, email, mobile, digital, out-of-home, brand campaigns, ticketing campaigns, merchandise, in-game and more.

This role supports the team in maintaining a consistent brand identity and contributes to its development under the guidance of the Graphic Designers and Creative Director. The Junior Graphic Designer will learn to push creative boundaries appropriately and participate in brainstorming sessions to generate fresh design ideas. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of typography, graphic design principles, with an interest in sports/entertainment and the digital landscape. This position calls for attention to detail, organizational skills, and adaptability in a fast-paced sports/entertainment environment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Specific duties include but are not limited to:

  • Support the design team in producing visual assets that meet brand standards
  • Assist in the execution of design projects, learning from senior team members
  • Attend and observe creative brainstorming and production meetings to gain insights and understanding of marketing strategies
  • Help generate ideas and simple graphics for various marketing campaigns
  • Maintain consistent branding under the supervision of more senior designers
  • Take on production work as needed by the team
  • Create basic graphic content for selected platforms under direction, such as social media and email campaigns
  • Receive and apply feedback to improve design skills and output

 

Qualifications:

  • Solid foundation of typography, graphic design principles, and digital content creation
  • Some professional experience or relevant internship experience in graphic design
  • Familiarity with sports, live events, or entertainment industries is a plus
  • Eager to learn and able to work on multiple projects
  • Quick to adapt to design modifications and able to effectively execute directions
  • Willingness to support the design team and engage in collaborative tasks
  • Organized and detail-oriented, able to keep pace with a dynamic work environment
  • Strong communication skills, particularly in receiving and acting on feedback
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Must submit portfolio that includes class projects or internship work, showing design capabilities


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is an hourly non-exempt position. Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
