Job Summary:
The housekeeping staff is responsible for ensuring timely completion of the custodial operations specific to the Food & Beverage areas at the Amerant Bank Arena. Responsibilities include proper use and handling of cleaning products, chemicals, equipment as well as inventory control and quality assurance
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Specific duties include but are not limited to:
· Ensures concessions stands are properly cleaned and sanitized after every event.
· Safely operates and maintains all types of cleaning machinery and equipment.
· Ensures proper use of cleaning chemicals and agents.
· Conducts building inspections.
· Performs a variety of cleaning/maintenance duties as assigned including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, replacing light bulbs and window cleaning.
· Removes trash from premises.
· Completes daily work orders as scheduled.
· Responsible for maintaining the appropriate level of sanitation and cleaning supplies for assigned areas. Maintains assigned equipment in good working condition.
· As applicable, cleans restrooms, sweeps and mops floors. Refills all dispensers such as hand towels & hand soap. Empties/removes trash. Reports any discrepancies or deficiencies to the manager.
· Follows safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
· Ability to work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures (e.g. heat, cold)
· Must be able to perform physical requirement of the position, including lifting up to 50lbs and standing /walking for extended periods of time without sitting
· Ability to walk and climb stairs.
· Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions.
· Ability to climb ladders and work at heights above ground level (maximum 3 ft).
· Ability to interact effectively with management and peers
· Ability to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment.
· Must possess a positive attitude and strong work ethic a must. Must have a “team-first” mentality with an eagerness to learn
· Strong inter-personal skills; establishing and maintaining productive relationships with fellow workers and supervisors
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a non-exempt (hourly) position. Must be able to work flexible hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
