Where You'll Come In
We are looking for an enthusiastic and engaging Training and Development Manager to facilitate and manage our newly created people manager development program, as well as support with additional training and development opportunities. At The Farmer’s Dog, we believe that our managers are the foundation of a thriving and successful culture! As our Training and Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for facilitating all of our people manager trainings, building relationships with people managers, and working with them to develop their skills. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape a newly created program and contribute to our employees’ growth and development as we collectively work towards an incredible mission.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Facilitate our first ever internal people manager training/development program (for both foundational and advanced management skills), and add your own creative and engaging spin on the facilitation
- Program manage the people manager training/development program (i.e. work with our Talent Management Associate to confirm dates, schedule program debriefs, etc.), and ensure its overall success
- Manage the program to ensure it is successful in its mission of up-skilling our people managers and making this the best workplace of our employees’ careers
- Build relationships with people managers, and coach them to develop in their roles
- Collect feedback on people manager training program, and suggest and implement changes (both to the program and content) based on program effectiveness and business needs
- Build additional people manager program content (as needed) and/or partner with subject matter experts to build content
- Engage business leaders and other partners to facilitate specific components of the people manager training
- Facilitate additional soft skills training (i.e. presentation or influencing skills) on an as needed basis
- Contribute to other talent development initiatives as needed
We're Excited About You Because
- Have 5 years of training/facilitation experience; experience with manager development is required

- Are an excellent written and verbal communicator

- Are skilled with Google Suite
Return-to-work guidelines
We support our team members with the flexibility to thrive, professionally and personally. Currently all hybrid team members are asked to be in the office for 2 Gathering Days a week to continue to build a collaborative, lively, and invested environment - a unique in-person culture we are proud of. Gathering Days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, however the office will be open and available for all Monday through Friday. This hybrid policy can be subject to change at company discretion.

We commit to building a competitive compensation package and company environment for all individuals to thrive. We believe in competitive base compensation rooted in location specific market data and performance along with equity ownership in the company that allows every team member to build their personal wealth as the company grows, just as much as we believe in fostering a culture that supports our team members personally, professionally, and holistically. For this role the anticipated hiring base compensation range is $105,000 - $116,000 USD Annual and the compensation offered will include a robust market competitive package of base and equity. In addition to your base compensation offer you will also receive equity ownership in the company. More information about the value of this equity will be shared at the time of offer. This range is representative of NYC Market Data if you are applying to this role outside of the NYC area the range may change.
