Core Responsibilities:

  • Establish and implement the organization's IT strategic direction from an internal operational perspective as well as providing cutting-edge technological planning to assist in moving our clients’ business forward
  • Ability to be on the forefront of providing up-to-date knowledge of new equipment, systems, and cloud technologies and their potential applicability to The Bloc
  • Manage all IT budgets including operational, development and management
  • After properly vetting all potential outsource vendors, manage these relationships from a cost control and efficiency perspective
  • Direct and provide appropriate, standardized hardware and IT infrastructure including individual computer and telephony requirements, IT systems, cloud environments, and data centers
  • Manage, develop and training of IT staff
  • Execute systems and software upgrades to include proper communication, roll-out and training to Agency and relevant business units
  • Develop and insure that all software licenses are in full compliance with legal requirements
  • Maintain a detailed inventory of all agency IT assets to include both hardware and software
  • Always act as a fiduciary for The Bloc keeping the agency’s best interest first and foremost

  • Effective collaboration within the operations group and department heads
  • Maximize quality (systems management, resolving issues, providing solutions)
  • Provide client facing operational leadership in technology
  • Lead improvement efforts through systems redesign as well as performance management of the team
  • Provide critical cohesion and leadership to the cross-functional team to maximize collaboration and accelerate progress against goals
  • Ensure collaboration and partnership with Manila and global agencies are optimized for efficiency and utilized appropriately
  • Develop and implement communication plan to foster an environment and culture where continuous improvement thrives
  • Foster a sense of urgency and champion change that pushes for continual improvement with a focus on improving efficiency, quality and driving down costs
  • Act independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments
  • Ensure client and talent needs are met and are aligned with the business objectives
  • Optimize technology operations to deliver meaningful and value added solutions for our new and existing clients and talent
  • Partner with executive, management and department leadership to identify significant opportunities for technology operating efficiencies, and process/quality improvement.
  • Create a process for the identification, prioritization, and implementation of quality/process initiatives
  • Work with operating leadership, identify process bottlenecks and inefficiencies
  • Lead a continuous improvement effort that results in business simplification and gained efficiencies throughout the business
  • Take a pro-active approach to root cause analysis, risk mitigation, issue resolution, and the creation and communication of a broad quality culture within the business

Skills & Qualifications:


  • 10+ years of experience in similar functions within IT with an emphasis in outsourcing
  • Proven management skills and experience in similar organizations
  • Proven track-record in product development, management and strategic improvement and change projects
  • Understanding of the various methodologies used in sales and go to market strategy workshops.
  • Curious and willing to learn about the latest and greatest developments in the industry on a continuous basis
  • Keeping commercial aspects continually in mind when taking actions or making decisions
  • Senior level Business Intelligence and Business Systems leadership experience (10 years+), preferably in entrepreneurial, high growth business; international experience strongly preferred but not required
  • Exceptional leadership skills and business acumen with the ability to develop and communicate a technology vision that inspires and motivates staff and other senior leaders and aligns to the business strategy.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills with the ability to build solid and trusted working relationships horizontally across the organization while demonstrating the business value of IT
  • In-depth knowledge of data administration and management processes with experience leading and championing reporting teams
  • Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time, and to budgeted financials; aligning multiple stakeholders to achieve business goals
  • Deep understanding of current and emerging infrastructure and operations technologies and how other enterprises are employing them
  • Thorough, research driven approach and a willingness to consult and collaborate with others to overcome obstacles and achieve the best results
  • Agile approach to building technology capabilities and infrastructure that rapidly adapt to evolving business requirements
  • Strong vendor management and partner relation skills to identify and leverage resources internal and external to the enterprise to enhance capabilities that support business objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a strategic people plan that ensures that the right people are in the right roles at the right time and that employees are highly engaged
  • Deep knowledge and experience with:
  • MAC & Windows desktop and server operating systems
  • Active Directory, Group Policies, Windows Deployment
  • Microsoft Azure, Office365, SharePoint, Exchange Server Migration
  • Knowledge and experience deploying and configuring MDM solutions
  • Enterprise-class network equipment such as Cisco, Meraki, etc
  • Network security products from Cisco, SonicWALL
  • VMware and Hyper-V virtualization platforms a plus
  • Backup products such as StorageCraft, Datto, or Veeam
  • Enterprise Anti-Virus platforms such as Bitdefender, Webroot, etc.
  • All Microsoft Office Productivity Suites – Apple product knowledge a plus, iOS/OS X
