The Copywriter is responsible for generating ideas for advertising and promotional copy, developing texts from draft stage through finished product. The Copywriter works closely with creative and account teams to ensure adherence to client’s marketing strategies and objectives within specified deadlines.
Participate in strategic and tactical meetings internally and with client to develop campaigns reflecting client objectives
Conceive and develop creative materials for product
Participate in brainstorming meetings
Possess a complete understanding of market trends and briefs
Review and edit all copy for clarity and proper grammar and punctuation
Present concepts at presentations in an organized, professional, and effective style
Follow copy through agency process on all pieces
Attend client creative presentations as circumstances allow
Participate in status meetings
Communicate with art, producers, and editorial to ensure smooth flow of jobs to meet deadlines
Work with Medical partners to ensure verification of facts and claims
Understand the target audience and adjust copy as required
Partner with account to solve problems
Establish rapport with client
2-3 years healthcare advertising experience required
BA degree (Advertising, Communications, English, Biology, Neurology, Oncology and Genetics or related field preferred)
Knowledge, background and/or interest in science and medicine
Ability to work well within a team setting
Exhibits decisive problem solving ability
Portfolio available for review
