About the Job:

Are you a highly motivated sales executive with a winning attitude? The Baltimore Banner is expanding their team with not one, but two exciting opportunities! The first being a Digital Media Sales Executive to sell integrated, multi-media advertising plans.

Reporting to the Sales Director of Ad Sales, this position requires a solid understanding of competing media, marketing strategies, and industry practices 


  • Embody a sales hunter mentality, demonstrating aggressive sales activity and an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Leverage your well-established network and maintain strong relationships with clients and agencies.
  • Bring positive energy and drive high sales activity to contribute to the team's success.
  • Exhibit the ability to identify and present big-picture concepts while paying attention to detail.
  • Utilize proficiency in Microsoft Suite, CRM, and other internal systems to support sales efforts.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of the local media landscape and understand client needs.
  • Display exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrate success in working both independently and collaboratively.


  • 3-5 years of consultative sales experience in digital media, marketing, or agency sales
  • Proficiency in consultative selling processes, including pre-call discovery, appointment setting, conducting comprehensive needs analyses, creating proposals, and presenting and closing business.
  • Ability to effectively utilize a CRM to track sales activity and revenue.
  • Capability to utilize research materials and data to develop tailored marketing solutions for clients.
  • Anticipated first year, On Target Earnings of $125,000-$150,000 based on a combination of a highly competitive base salary and earned commissions.
