About the Organization

TAAF serves the Asian American and Pacific Islander community in their pursuit of belonging and prosperity that is free from discrimination, slander, and violence. Founded in 2021 in response to the rise in anti-Asian hate and address the long standing underinvestment in AAPI communities, TAAF funds best in class organizations working to mobilize against hate and violence, educate communities, and reclaim our narratives through our core pillars of Anti-hate, Education, Narrative Change, and Resources & Representation. Through our grants, high-impact initiatives and events, we’re creating a permanent and irrevocable sense of belonging for millions of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States. About the Role

TAAF is excited to offer an internship program that will provide participants with challenging, meaningful, and real-world experience. Participants will support departments on a variety of high-stakes projects related to administrative support, process development and improvement, and project management. In addition to having a dedicated mentor, participants will receive access to leadership and professional growth activities to gain valuable career experience in a fast paced startup environment focused on social change.

One of the key tasks of the intern will be to research AAPI DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) messaging and initiatives for the AAPI Giving Challenge that comprises over 70 corporate partners. The Research Intern will update the Corporate Partners News Tracker, Corporate Partner 360 Messaging Tracker, and maintain a log of our corporate partners' AAPI initiatives for the years 2022 and 2023 as well as their public-facing communications. Additionally, the Research Intern will develop an internal database that consolidates information on corporate Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). This objective is crucial for gaining a comprehensive understanding of the AAPI ERG ecosystem and will play a key role in TAAF's ongoing corporate outreach strategy.

Lastly, the Research Intern will assist in researching and gathering information on prominent AAPI individuals in the finance and law sectors. The primary goal is to compile an internal list and directory that will serve as a foundation and reference for future projects focused on AAPI representation within these two sectors.
