In this role you will support the daily operations of the US HR department across the employee lifecycle, help ACT Commodities reach growth milestones, and collaborate with our local and global teams to ensure alignment. Responsibilities

    • Employee Onboarding: Manage personnel files and maintain accurate records in HR systems & applications; Create new hire packets, new hire IT requests, schedule onboarding introductions/trainings, and conduct HR orientations 
    • HR Operations: Assist in the roll out of a global HRIS platform; help enhance integrations and efficiency of systems
    • Payroll & Benefits: Liaise with third-party payroll & benefits administrator and act as point person for all employee related questions; assist with semi-monthly & bi-weekly payrolls and 401k administration   
    • Reporting: Assist with monthly headcount, HR metrics and L&D reports; maintain org charts
    • Employee Development: Coordinate internal and external trainings on a global and local level; Assist with the design and facilitation of training programs
    • Performance Management: Support in administrating 1 month, 3 month and 6 month check ins, front office dashboards, and mid-year/end-year performance management cycle
    • Immigration & Global Mobility: Support immigration and visa processes for employees
    • Employment Law & Policies: Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure we are up to date and in compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations regarding employment practices  
    • Employee Engagement: Assist in the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives; work closely with the HR team to attract, recruit, and retain employees
    • Employee Exits: Conduct exit interviews and manage all operational exit procedures
    • Projects: Assist with ad hoc HR related projects such as Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) initiatives and Employer Value Proposition (EVP)

 

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience working in Human Resources function
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (excel, word, powerpoint)
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, liaise with all levels of employees and work collaboratively across the business with various stakeholders
