Your experience includes… 

  • BS with up to 4 years of experience, or MS and up to 2 years of experience. Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Material Science, or closely related field 
  • Prior experience in LNP delivery or formulations 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills 
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented 
  • Prior experience with scientific and experimental documentation 

You are interested in… 

  • Strengthening Tessera’s gene editing delivery platforms by formulating and developing novel LNPs 
  • Routinely formulating nucleic acid payloads to support company's in vitro and pre-clinical studies 
  • Utilizing physicochemical testing methods to screen and characterize novel LNP formulations 
  • Maintaining thorough and detailed electronic lab notebooks (ELNs) and documentation records 
  • Working both independently and as part of a team to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment 
  • Assisting with general laboratory functionality, including lab equipment maintenance and the ordering & receiving of lab supplies 
  • Adhering to all laboratory safety requirements and procedures

Gulen Yesilbag Tonga - Senior Scientist, Formulations 

Originally from Turkey, Gulen Tonga obtained her PhD from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She joined Tessera in 2021 after completing her Postdoc with Harvard Medical School and Boston Children's Hospital. At Tessera, Gulen leads LNP formulations for delivery to the liver using rodent models. She has over 50 publications and one patent.

Annie Edminster (she/her) –  Lead Talent Partner, Human Resources 

Originally from Maine, Annie obtained her Bachelor of Science from Syracuse University. She spent eight years in Biotech, Engineering and Tech agency recruitment, then joined Tessera in 2022. Annie loves watching her new hires grow in their careers and getting to know her colleagues from all over the world! Outside of work, she lives in NH with her robot-building husband, two feisty daughters, and two Siberian cats.  Her Love Languages include creating playlists, sending memes, and sharing books.
