What You Will Be Doing
As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be to:
- Report to the Head of Product Management and lead product team(s) to align the product strategy and roadmap among key functional leaders and team members in the organization, including hardware, software, clinical, and business
- Articulate the corporate strategy and business value to the product team so they understand the intent
- Lead the team through product phase gates as part of the product lifecycle
- Build business case scenarios for the product including future versions and features
- Propose and analyze risk/benefit scenarios, decision trees
- Recommend trade-offs between risk, costs, values, features, and time
- Translate various needs into product requirements that maximize value and direct project scope
- Work with technical teams on what to build
- Build product narratives to communicate the project motivation, objectives and key results with a focus on user needs
What We Are Looking For
Baseline Skills, Experiences, & Attributes
- 5+ years in medtech product management or related fields, specifically leading cross functional medical device development, medical imaging, image processing teams
- Ability to translate and articulate complicated business problems into easily understood solutions and functional requirements
- Natural ability to make things happen around you -- you manage project ambiguity, complexity and interdependencies in an organized, motivational, and structured way
- Demonstrated leadership across the full product lifecycle specifically including launch strategy and execution
- Extensive experience in leading cross functional medical device development, medical imaging, EHR integration and image processing teams through launch strategy development and execution
- Proven written and oral communication skills and ability to influence colleagues
- BS in Engineering or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- MS/PhD in Biomedical, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- MBA or relevant business development experience
- 10+ years experience leading engineering teams or programs
- Experience with connected devices, web and mobile app development
- Experience with AI applications and/or ophthalmic products is highly desirable
