Position Summary: Terray is currently seeking a Director of Finance who will guide accounting, reporting and controls at Terray and report to the Chief Financial and Operating Officer.  The Director of Finance will be responsible for:

  • Managing the company’s operational and corporate finance functions including accounting, financial planning and reporting, cash flow, and other strategic financial matters
  • The Company’s accounting practices, maintenance of financial records and the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and related analyses and reports
  • Overall supervisory responsibility for general accounting, cost accounting, budgetary controls
  • Managing the Company’s audit, tax and tax-credit filings
  • Evaluating operating results in terms of costs, budgets, policies, and trends and working with the Company’s suppliers to drive procurement efficiency


  • Coordinates and directs the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, annual budgets and periodic forecasts, institutes and maintains other planning and control procedures
  • Ensures that accounting policies comply with generally accepted accounting principles (“GAAP”), tax requirements, and other management reporting requirements
  • Forecasts short-term and long-term cash requirements and obligations
  • Responsible for property, sales & use tax, local corporate, payroll and other miscellaneous taxes as well as business registrations
  • Assures protection of assets through proper insurance coverage
  • Ensure processes and controls are documented and designed to meet the needs of a growing business
  • Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable and capital expense functions
  • Provide technical accounting guidance to the team and ensure compliance to latest pronouncements
  • Ensure appropriate accounting and financial policies are in place and maintain a policies manual to facilitate financial governance across the business
  • Work alongside other key finance stakeholders to create dashboards and departmental KPIs that will support the business
  • Manage external audit
  • Own relationship with external auditors, tax advisors and other third parties providing financial advice
  • Partner with CFO to ensure optimal tax structures, planning and decision making
  • Oversee preparation, filing and audits of U.S. tax returns to cover federal, state, local, property taxes
  • Provides leadership and direction on other key finance/accounting projects and ad hoc needs as requested by organizational leadership

Required Qualifications:

  • BS or BA in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution. CMA or CPA preferred, MBA is a plus
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressively more experience, to include 3 years in a controller position in a company of comparable size and complexity; or a combination of education and experience that would enable performance of the full scope of the position
  • Strong working knowledge of financial statement preparation and analysis, GAAP rules, and Excel spreadsheets
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret financial statements and reports
  • Advanced competency in financial management and accounting software
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and industry regulations
  • Extensive experience in corporate finances, auditing, and performance management
  • Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills for budgeting/forecasting combined with strong attention to detail
  • Experience establishing, implementing, and adhering to process improvement initiatives within a high growth environment
  • Superb organizational and time management abilities
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
