Position Description:

Support the Government in preparing to modernize, transform, and integrate the financial management systems through the multiple phases engineering development, discovery, implementation, initial operations, and maintenance. In support of the modernization effort, services are required to understand the IT systems and business processes in the current state and the to-be state. The effort will support modular components and outcomes of various IT Projects in support testing solutions that provide working financial business solutions that can be deployed. Program planning through the SELC phases will need to be managed among several stakeholders to support deployment such as; testing, organizational change management, functional training, and operational deployment.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Financial system functional support related to Federal Financials CLM
  • Experience with primarily the Projects Module
    • Familiarity with how these modules work with Projects
    • Accounts Receivable/Advanced Collections
    • Procurement/Purchasing/ CLM System
  • Accounts Payable/eInvoicing
  • Federal Administrator/Budget Execution
  • Projects Costing and Billing
  • General Ledger
  • System cutover and post-implementation functional support
  • Provide users and stakeholders a migration strategy and support for the new processes
  • Coordinating among the cross functional teams for all the following task activities to ensure alignment and agreement
  • Managing and updating changes to the RTM
  • Providing Functional and Technical Specification support along with configuration management of the above
  • Develop, review, and approve the various test cases and activities associated with Federal Financials development efforts
    • DT&E
    • UAT
    • All forms of end-to-end testing
  • Develop and obtain approval of business process documentation related to the implementation of system and processes
        • Detailed process flow diagrams / models
        • Sequential and integrated work streams
        • Decision points
        • Internal Controls
        • Business rules
        • Data mapping
        • Owner/organizational alignment

Required Skills:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a DHS/EOD Public Trust security clearance; active DHS EOD preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Understanding and working knowledge of Federal Financial Management laws, policies, processes and procedures
  • 10+ years of experience as a Financial Functional Consultant supporting large SAP financial management applications, specifically Federal Financials
  • Primarily: working knowledge of SAP Modules and how the below modules work with it
  • Expertise in the Methodology, Documentation, Configuration of Applications, Testing, End-User Training and Supporting SAP Financials R12/11i GL, AP, AR, CM, and FA modules
  • 5+ years of experience working with different Functional & Technical teams to support existing systems and implementing new systems, processes and procedures. Research, evaluate and establish business processes associated with ERP
  • Cutover and post-implementation functional support

Highly Desired Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in the area of Accounting & Finance.
  • Participated in multiple Federal Financial implementations in multi-organizations /multi-currency scenarios, order management and worked in areas involving Pricing, Purchasing, and Inventory
  • Experience in mapping of external data source files to ERP modules.
