We are seeking a talented and experienced Technical Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating comprehensive technical documentation, developing manuals, and producing PowerPoint presentations. This role requires the ability to synthesize complex technical information and translate it into clear and concise prose for diverse audiences. Additionally, experience or interest in AI and ML software and hardware is highly desirable.
This is a contract role based out of Austin, TX, Santa Clara, CA, or Toronto, ON on a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities:
- Develop, write, and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including user manuals, system guides, and technical specifications.
- Create engaging and informative PowerPoint presentations to support internal and external communications.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and subject matter experts to gather information and understand technical concepts.
- Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and accurate content that is easily understood by various audiences.
- Develop training materials and curriculum to support product education and user adoption.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, particularly in AI and ML, to ensure documentation remains relevant and accurate.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of documentation processes and standards.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communication, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with curriculum development, training development, training and educational tools and materials development
- 5+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in the software or technology industry.
- Proven ability to create clear, concise, and well-structured documentation for complex technical topics.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience with documentation tools and software (e.g., MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, Confluence) is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI and ML concepts and technologies, or a strong interest in learning about them.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
