Tenet3® is seeking a talented Systems Engineer to develop MBSE tools and methodologies in an exciting new effort. You will be part of a diverse team of practitioners that will be the focal point for direct, hands-on consulting with Air Force programs to address challenges across the digital engineering space. This position requires technical skills with a mix of strategic thinking and entrepreneurial spirit. You will be supporting the establishment of the Digital Innovation and Integration Center of Excellence (DIICE) at the Air Force Institute of Technology Center (AFIT). DIICE will address the pressing strategic and practical needs facing programs as they negotiate the digital acquisition environment. All candidates with relevant skills, experience, and degree levels will be considered.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Consult with programs in these areas
    • Provide technical expertise and support to engineers and scientists on MBSE tools and techniques
    • Planning for digital acquisition
    • Develop MBSE tools and methodologies to support the design, analysis, and verification of complex aerospace systems
    • Implement MBSE techniques and tools into existing engineering processes
    • Digital twin applications
    • Develop, maintain, and evolve MBSE models and simulation tools
    • Support testing, validation, and verification of MBSE tools and models
    • Develop use-cases and best practices for completed work
  • Support establishment of DIICE, including its mission, vision, strategic planning and metrics
  • Develop processes and procedures for program consultation and support
  • Participate in technical reviews and presentations to stakeholders
  • Apply lessons learned to program interactions, planning, and risk assessments
  • Support special studies for topics of interest
  • Communicate solutions to leadership orally and in writing, clearly and accurately
  • Develop recommendations, best practices, and case studies
  • Potential to present at technical conferences and to USAF leadership
  • Travel expected to be up to 10%

Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree in Systems Engineering or related field
  • Practical digital engineering experience
  • Strong capabilities and practical experience with MBSE modeling methods such as property graphs, ontologies, SysML, AADL, and tools such as CAMEO, DOORS, and/or OSATE
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, MATLAB/Simulink, or C/C++/Java
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies
  • Excellent writing, public speaking, and verbal communication skills.
  • Team-player attitude, willing to accept from and offer direction to others.
  • Responsive to customer needs and emerging challenges
  • Future focused and able to articulate strategic needs
  • Technically capable and able to deliver practical solutions
  • Interested in continuous learning and improvement

  • Ability to obtain a TOP SECRET clearance. (Must be a US Citizen).

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS in System Engineering or related field
  • 10+ years practical and related digital engineering experience
  • Experience with DoD acquisition programs and processes
  • Familiarity with Air Force systems and operations
  • DAU Level III in Systems Engineering
  • Active TOP SECRET clearance
