Tencent XR Lab is a creative team dedicated to exploring future XR technologies. You will work with a team of world-class researchers and engineers to build the next generation of hardware and software to bring new user experiences to VR/AR/XR products.

We are looking for self-motivated and passionate fresh graduates to join our optical technology center at Silicon Valley to research and develop for display, optics, sensing and perception technologies and systems for the future VR/AR/XR applications.


Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Graduating in 2023 with a Master or PhD degree in Optics, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other related fields 
  • 2+ years of research experiences in optics, display technologies, imaging or depth sensors and other related fields
  • Hands-on experience on building experimental setups and/or prototypes for imaging or non-imaging optics
  • Knowledges in those areas: Lens design, optics specification and manufacturing, optical coating, display, illumination, radiometry, photometry, physical optics and opto-mechanical design
  • Familiar with at least one optical design and simulation tools such as Zemax, CodeV, Lightools, FRED or Lumerical, etc. 
  • Proficient with programming languages such as Matlab or Python. 
  • Communicating effectively and desire to learn.
