Position Overview:
Tencent Cloud America is rapidly expanding the business and is looking for a talented Technical Sales Manager, with extensive solutions and architecture design capability on public cloud.
This Technical Sales Manager role will work close to the sales team to provide full lifecycle support for our customers and partners, including but not limited to: understanding the customers’ business use cases, presenting Tencent Cloud solutions, elaborating the customers’ technical requirements, developing the technical design and architecture, leading the customer POC, guiding the implementation in customers real environment, managing sales pipeline, manage consumption forecast, etc.
This role would need to closely engage with the customers, from first line engineers to possibly the C-level technical and/or business leaders on customer side. He/she would be very comfortable to communicate with all different functions/levels’ stakeholders, internally or externally, under different culture-based companies, and possibly different time zones.
Responsibilities:
- Fully support the sales and account teams, provide an industry-leading pre-sales and technical consulting services to the customers, to reach a high customer’s satisfaction and win the customers.
- Lead the architecture design based on the customer’s technical requirements.
- Lead the technical discussions with customer and the customer POC (proof-of-concept) completely.
- Guide the customer project implementation in their real environments.
- Address customer related issues, sales conflicts and pricing issues in a timely manner.
- Deliver customer presentations, attend sales meetings, and partner conferences.
- Manage own sales pipeline, forecast monthly sales and proactively identify new business opportunities.
- Work independently or with partners to develop sales proposals, quotations, and pricing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (in engineering related major).
- 5+ years of experience in Cloud Business, in Solutions Architect, Sales Manager or similar roles.
- Bilingual in Portuguese and English.
- Understanding and experience in most of the common Cloud services, e.g. Compute, Storage, Network (esp. CDN), Database/Big Data, Container/K8S, Security, etc.
- Knowledge of the most popular PaaS/SaaS solutions in the Cloud ecosystems
- Certifications in the major cloud providers: Tencent Cloud, AWS, Azure, GCP, AliCloud, Oracle, etc.
- Outstanding presentation and communication skills. Experience in presenting product portfolio and service offerings to customers and partners.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills: must be comfortable and able to communicate effectively and tactfully different levels of stakeholders from internal teams and customers, and get things done by collaborative efforts.
- Self-motivated and Self-driven with sense of ownership and urgency.
