Award-winning TiMi Studio Group seeks a Senior/Principle rigger to provide the rigging solution for our new AAA video game IPs. Our projects will be released on multiple platforms using Unreal 5 and have lots of creature demand. Your role will be working with our Tech team, Art team, and Animation team to develop a solid Creature Pipeline to support scalable content creation.

What will you do

Collaborate with the Art Director, Animation Director, Technical Animation Director, and Programmers to define and create the pipelines and benchmarks to produce high-quality Creature Rigging (Including the Maya Control Rig system and the Engine Skeleton system).

What you'll do

  • Develop Creature Rigging Solution and benchmark to support our Art and Animation Vision
  • R&D different types of creatures based on the concept and the gameplay request to deliver high-quality Creature rigs to the animation team
  • Build the rigging guideline and workflow for scalable rigging content creation
  • Balancing between artistic and technical aspects to support the Art/Animation director and Technical director.
  • Partner with modelers to provide the guideline of topology from a rigging perspective.
  • Partner with animators for the fast iterations of improving the rigs
  • Iterate to improve your work based on feedback from interdependent teams.

What we’re looking for?

  • At least six years of rigging experience in AAA game development
  • Dedicated to the complex creature rigging work in at least one shipped AAA game
  • At least two AAA video game titles shipped in the current generation of consoles
  • Mastery of Motion Builder, Maya
  • Knowledge of Python scripting in the rigging aspect
  • Capable of using RBF, PSD, or muscular system to create high fidelity creature rig in DCC and implementing the deformation result in runtime.
  • Excellent understanding of creature anatomy and animation principles
  • Team player, highly collaborative, and results-oriented
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Autonomous and proactive to develop highly efficient solutions
  • Curious about learning and implementing new technologies based on industry trends
  • Experience developing in and extending Unreal Engine a plus
