Timi J3 studios are looking for a Senior / Principal concept artist to focus on creating series of awesome character/environment designs for one of our unannounced stylized FPS (First-person shooter) projects. You will work closely with different departments to help define the visual design for characters, creatures, weapons, environments, and FX.

Timi J3 studios made some of the most popular FPS games on the market, including the award-winning - Call of Duty Mobile. The game we are working on right now is ambitious and stylized, full of energy and creativity. Not only do we want to create one of the best competitive shooter experiences, but we also want to create memorable co-op missions and PVE content in the near future.

For the nature of this job and the current development of the COVID-19 pandemic, Timi J3 studios are offering a full work-from-home position for this role. We are allowing the candidate to work remotely as long as they can be flexible with the weekly meeting schedule and deliver the feedback/content in a timely manner. The flexible work situation and remote policy are subject to change at Timi J3 studios’ discretion.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Art director, Narrative lead, and Creative directors to maintain consistent visual design quality and style.
Expert knowledge concepting and creating high-resolution concepts of characters, environments, and FX, and the ability to deliver consistent high-quality designs across all areas.
Work closely with Design, Animation, and Art to create compelling characters that help sell the aesthetic quality we strive for.
Being flexible in the concept world, able to jump from one area to another to help push innovations.
Identify the risks during early visual development and actively coming up with concept solutions to mitigate them.
Experienced in using concept skills to guide art production and help maintain quality and style consistency by providing paintovers and feedbacks.
Mentor and guide team members to level up their concept skills and core development competencies.

Qualifications:
8+ years of experience concepting characters, weapons, and environments for industry-leading games.
Portfolio of demonstrating strong proficiency as an Expert level Concept Artist.
Strong understanding of anatomy, shape, form, and silhouette.
Mechanical knowledge for various subjects related to hard surfacing design.
Expert knowledge of 2D fundamentals like anatomy, lighting, material, color, and composition.
Good communicating skills and ability to provide efficient feedback to team members.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of weapon design including silhouette, forms, function, and purpose.
Ability to work under deadlines, manage and prioritize tasks, and is self-motivated.
Expert knowledge and understanding of Photoshop or any equivalent software and tools, and pilelines.


Bonus Skills:
Prior Leadership\Mentoring experience.
Knowledge of creating narrative content such as color keys and storyboards.
Mandarin language skills are a plus.
