Responsibilities: Research and develop tools for aiding AAA game art development. Familiar with and have researched game engines. Responsible for fully understanding all aspects of game art requirements and problems and providing adequate technical support and solutions. Familiar with game engine tool development. Responsible for reaching better game art results and creating timely and effective technical research. Responsible for effectively communicating with developers to improve game efficiency and performance, overall appearance in high/mid/low configuration and reducing low performance thresholds.
Requirements: At least 5 years of game development, with at least 3 years of technical art experience. Experience in developing large scale, next generation game projects preferred. Possess a professional level art ability with a strong aesthetic understanding. Proficient understanding of game art resources and the production process. Possess PC/console game development experience. Possess an understanding of the game design and engineering processes Able to coordinate with game designers and engineers to create procedures to help solve problems between art and tech. Able to create a positive and proactive communication approach between multiple departments. Self-driven with a strong logical reasoning ability. Proficiency in 3D art creation software, including: SP, 3DMax, Maya, ZBrush, XSI, Photoshop, etc. Strong understanding of Shader logic and result improvement. Familiar with scripting and programming languages, posess strong research experience and understanding in PBR technology and Cel-shading. Responsive to learning and implementing new technologies and industry trends.
