The Reimbursement team oversees revenue cycle operations and reimbursement strategy for Tempus clinical laboratory testing. The position supports relationships with Tempus’ Managed Care, Sales, Finance, Product, Customer Success, Operations, and Business Intelligence (BI), as well as our third party billing vendor.
Responsibilities
Monitor worklists for prior authorization, denials, and appeals in Tempus’ billing system
Engage in monitoring and improving revenue cycle management (RCM) KPIs
Support prior authorization and appeals operational process as needed
Ad hoc requests and special projects as needed
Qualifications
Strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail, are a self-starter and can work with minimal supervision
Highly analytical and detail-oriented, you enjoy unpacking and resolving complex issues
Customer service is in your DNA, and you are known for your ability to communicate effectively through even the most tangled scenarios
Proven ability to learn new skills quickly and adapt to new processes smoothly
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management
Required Education & Experience
Associate’s Degree or 4+ years healthcare revenue cycle / billing operations
Familiar with laboratory billing, EDI enrollment, payer portals, Quadax a plus
Proficient in Excel
