The Role

We’re rapidly expanding our Technical Product Management Org. Your skills/interests will help identify which area you’ll have the greatest impact! Here are some specific examples of the projects/responsibilities our PMs are working on:

Messaging

This is an incredibly challenging and exciting product to work on. It’s challenging because Telnyx’s messaging backend system is complex. It’s a federation of services deployed under a multi-cloud multi-site paradigm to ensure a high degree of availability and redundancy. The technical product manager must grasp system architecture, message flow, and monitoring & alerting very quickly to become effective.

The role is also exciting because the messaging landscape is changing towards one that's increasingly omni-channel. Businesses and enterprises find greater efficacy in delivering branded and trusted messages than the traditional SMS. We've already secured key partners to start building our omni-channel API. One of those partners is Google's Rich Communication Service (RCS, https://jibe.google.com/)

Platform

The Platform (Infrastructure & Network) team within the Technology department manages critical infrastructure technology for Telnyx. The team is responsible for the design, operations, and support of a wide range of technologies, including data center engineering and operations, data management including backup and archive, support of large compute, storage systems and core server infrastructure, and all related technical support.

The Platform Product Manager role will lead technical teams and partner with software engineers and technology leadership on the design and implementation of foundational infrastructure services.

Porting

Porting is a crucial part of Telnyx's business. The porting engineering teams' objective is to automate 100% of that business function for our operations team and our users. Over the past 2 years, we built everything from scratch: porting API V1 (https://developers.telnyx.com/docs/api/v1/porting), FastPort and all its backend integrations PLUS porting admin portal for our operations team 

Now the team's immediate objective is to further modernize the porting API and bring that under the Telnyx API V2 umbrella. It is your job to: understand the business logic and workflow, document and improve the architecture of the porting backend systems, define porting API V2 specification and workflow and work with users to trial and QA the API

Telephony

The Telephony Product Manager partners with engineering peers and other PMs to ensure we add business value and deliver what we promise, while keeping in line with our technical strategy and best practices. You’ll synthesize requirements from customers and internal stakeholders into coherent Product Requirement Documents. 

WebRTC 

WebRTC is a new initiative within Telnyx. We’re building on the foundations of our programmable voice, and driving our programmable video product forward. Our goal is to support communication in a rapidly changing landscape. With WebRTC, users can embed communications directly into any web interface, through a browser or on a mobile device with the use of our powerful SDKs.
