Telnyx is a next-generation Voice over IP (VoIP) provider based out of Chicago with a brand new office in Dublin. We’ve built a private network using a ‘software first’ approach by leveraging bleeding edge and open source software on top of all the major cloud service providers. We are focused on building a real-time communication platform for developers and application providers to easily integrate voice into their products. As a member of the Telnyx Network Operation Center (NOC), you will deploy, monitor and maintain our network, as well as provide in-depth technical support to our customers and vendors. As the premiere supporter of our cloud-agnostic, containerized infrastructure and application portfolio, you will drive decisions and work streams across all aspects of network and telephony projects.
 
You will be a key member of a highly technical strike team, necessitating proficient verbal and written communication skills and a willingness to be available during specified after-hour timeframes for critical escalations and troubleshooting. The mission of the NOC team in Ireland is to provide 24/7 support for our network and customer facing applications. Furthermore, you will be deeply involved in the roll-out of our routing engines and network into core Internet hubs across the globe.
 
What we’re looking for:
  • Passionate about technology and problem solving within ultra-secure, latency sensitive, and high performance environments
  • Experience with VoIP and networking principles
  • Experience with Linux (basic programming and scripting is required)
  • Experience with ip/tcp/udp, routing protocols (bgp), ipv4/ipv6 address space and subnetting, data center and service provider environments
  • Experience with technical customer troubleshooting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 
What’s nice to have:
  • Experience with call signaling analysis
  • Familiarity with FreeBSD and Ubuntu
  • Familiarity with FreeSwitch
  • Familiarity with configuring and troubleshooting an IP PBX system such as Asterisk
  • Familiarity with tools such as SIPp, logstash, TCPdump, PCAP WireShark and VoIPMonitor
  • Experience with cloud networking in environments
  • CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent work experience
  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related field
