Responsibilities

  • Focusing not just on HOW to conduct research but also on exploring and influencing WHAT problems to solve
  • Work through the end-to-end research lifecycle, using mixed-methods for generative and evaluative research projects (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting, communicating) 
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities where research can help improve a product decision or member experience 
  • Proactively communicate and share your research findings with team members and other audiences in compelling, actionable, and engaging ways 
  • Build collaborative relationships with a wide array of cross-functional partners to define, answer and measure strategic research questions, with the aim of guiding product decisions towards success

  • Supporting a culture of learning and mentoring junior researchers

Candidate Profile

  • 7+ years user research experience with mobile apps, web applications and consumer products within the health or medical fields 
  • Proven track record in partnering with Design, Product Management, Engineering, and Clinical teams 
  • The ability to derive meaningful stories from research data that resonate across the Product teams 
  • Expertise in scoping, planning and executing each step of the research process both in-person and remotely 
  • Extensive experience with tools for recording, analyzing, storing, and sharing research, including data analytics and visualization tools 
  • Experience with contextual-inquiry, user interviews, and other methods of ethnographic and generative research 
  • Experience with usability testing, accessibility reviews and other methods of evaluative research 
  • Educated recommendations for specific research protocol best practices 
  • Graduate-level degree in related field preferred 
  • Knowledge of cardiometabolic conditions, such as diabetes and hypertension preferred 
  • Experience with consumer Healthtech a plus
