What You’ll Do
Tekmetric is a resource planning and management system designed for business-oriented owners in the automotive repair industry. With Tekmetric, these business owners can expect to improve overall productivity and profitability through an all-encompassing intuitive software solution. Whether your goal is to manage parts inventory, quickly deliver a repair estimate, or send progress reports to your customer's smartphone, Tekmetric provides the engine and fuel to keep your shop running smoothly and efficiently, while offering a seamless migration from your current software to ours.
You will be responsible for:
- Build end-to-end user experiences
- Aide in discovery phases and helping define product requirements
- Create designs, prototypes and artifacts to facilitate user testing and apply learnings to designs
- Collaborate with product management, engineering and business partners to build and iterate on customer facing products
- Work with other product designers and front-end engineering team to manage a design system used within the consumer product ecosystem
- Collaborate with engineering to ensure visual quality and finesse of the product and user experience
- Regularly solicit feedback from your peers, including other product designers, product managers and teammates in your product team
- Champion cohesion and consistency in UX design that unites a growing family of products/features
- Be a strategic leader with a vision in how to implement experiences that represent the most customer-centric intersection between design, business and technology.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of experience designing and shipping digital products, with recent experience designing enterprise SaaS products
- A portfolio of work that showcases your process and a range of fidelity levels along with finished design work. (A portfolio is required to be considered)
- Experience collaborating closely with a cross functional technology team including product managers, engineers, QA and business leadership
- Proficiency in Figma, building components, maintaining design systems and advanced prototyping
- An understanding of modern front-end frameworks and grasp of current development philosophies / methodologies for building responsive web applications
- Experience with Storybook and documenting guidelines for using and implementing components
