KARE 11-TV is seeking a dynamic and motivated Part-Time Associate Producer to join our award-winning news team. As an Associate Producer, you will play a role in the creation of compelling, engaging, and memorable newscasts. This is a Part-Time, Temporary position.

Responsibilities:

Write scripts for news segments, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and a conversational tone
Work and collaborate with producers to brainstorm ideas and stories
Manage in-studio guests upon their arrival, as needed
Assist with other tasks and projects as needed to support the overall production process.

Requirements:

Broadcast writing experience on the professional or collegiate level
Excellent research and fact-checking abilities, with a keen attention to detail
Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt quickly to changing priorities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
Familiarity with newsroom software and tools, such as ENPS and Edius, a plus
