WTOL-TV is currently seeking a dynamic and versatile individual to join our team as a Part-Time Director/Photojournalist. In this role, you will be responsible for serving in various production positions during live news broadcasts, with a primary focus on manual switching/directing daily newscasts and other local programs on weekend mornings.

Responsibilities:

Manual switching/directing of daily newscasts and local programs during weekend mornings.
Operating cameras, audio, and other studio equipment during broadcasts.
Collaborating with the news department as a photographer and editor when not scheduled to direct.
Conducting non-linear editing and ENG style camera operation as needed.

Requirements:

Strong technical knowledge of studio operations, including floor directing, camera operation, audio, lighting, non-linear editing, and ENG style camera operation.
Forward-thinking with the ability to manage quality control at a high level.
Familiarity with live news production environments.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
