Responsibilities:   

  • Assist producers with daily tasks
  • Research and write content for the web and social media
  • Write stories for daily segments
  • Assist with various production elements including prepping the studio for the LIVE show
  • Assist with communicating with guests and clients
  • Various other duties as assigned

Requirements:   

  • Ability to demonstrate good judgment with an understanding of journalistic standards and editorial ethics
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Experience with publishing platforms, current digital and social media technologies and SEO best practices
  • Ability to learn fact-checking, reporting, writing, and editing
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Work calmly under deadlines and adjusts quickly as priorities change
  • Attend college and studying journalism, communications, broadcasting or a related field
  • Current driver’s license and ability to operate news gathering vehicle to and from various locations
