We are looking for a Sports Video Editor. This job will initially focus on a new weekly program we are producing as the Home of the NHL's Seattle Kraken. It will also include our partnerships with the Seattle Seahawks, Seattle Reign, and the Olympics, as well as the nightly sportscasts. Qualified candidates must be ready and able to create high quality content to meet sports deadlines.

Responsibilities:

Edit a variety of video elements including voice-overs, SOTS, packages, graphics and teases
Collaborate with KING 5’s award-winning team of photojournalists and sports journalists to create content for all platforms
Operate non-linear edit systems, experience with Edius and Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, After Effects & Photoshop) is a plus
Display a professional demeanor and work well/as a team player with news and sports staff
Multi-task, handling editing assignments and capturing feeds and FTP material, while constantly monitoring quality control editing to scripts and producer notes
Ability to create/edit material for on-air broadcast show and web, while meeting deadlines
Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
Uphold personal integrity, teamwork, accountability, problem solving and a strong work ethic

Requirements:

1-3 years previous experience video editing, knowledge of EDIUS preferred
Strong writing skills, both for digital and broadcast platforms.
Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field.
Fluency in a second language is a plus.

We are offering a competitive pay along with benefits. This position is full-time, hourly, and SAG-AFTRA union. Compensation Range: $21.23 - $26.56 hourly.
