5 On Your Side, KSDK-TV has an immediate opening for a Creative Director to join our award-winning team. The perfect candidate is a master of marketing, creative and collaborative with the ability to oversee multiple projects in an audience centric, fast paced, competitive environment. The role requires a self-starter with a gift for conceptualizing and developing creative ideas and effective messaging rooted in research, hitting the target and moving audience. You will oversee a fantastic team of creatives to set KSDK apart from the competition. This position reports to the Director of Marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive development and execution of cross-platform marketing and promotional campaigns
  • Collaborate with News and Sales on developing audience building and revenue generating strategies
  • Lead and review work of creative team to ensure message consistency and clarity
  • Assist Marketing Director with live events and community engagement opportunities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think on your feet and adapt to last-minute changes
  • Independently identify, assess, and solve problems, improve processes

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in broadcast marketing with demonstrateable experience in a similar role and a strong portfolio showcasing previous work
  • Excellent, written, and verbal skills as well as attention to detail
  • Exceptional skills in all phases of promotional production including writing scripts, storyboards, shooting and editing
  • Ability to deliver results at a high level under tight deadlines
  • Collaborate and drive brand development strategy with a heavy emphasis on news promotion and community engagement.
  • Advance skills in editing, visual effects and motion graphics using the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Comfortable working non-traditional hours as needed
