WBIR, the #1 station in the Knoxville Market, is looking for a Sales Strategist to work with both Local and Major Accounts. We need a smart, collaborative sales-minded Marketer with strong organizational skills to work alongside our team of Account Executives to craft innovative solutions that deliver exceptional client results.   • Collaborate with account executives and the leadership team to craft highly compelling, strategic sales and marketing proposals that result in a strong ROI for clients.
  • Provide Account Management to key accounts, overseeing order input, order maintenance, and post-sales reporting.
  • Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to extract valuable insights from marketing and sales data, empowering data-driven recommendations for enhancing client strategies.
  • Work in tandem with sales leadership to discern research requirements, skillfully analyze findings and apply invaluable insights relevant to our clients.
  • Develop comprehensive case studies, impactful PowerPoint presentations, and other compelling collateral to effectively communicate the numerous benefits of our products to both current clients and prospective customers.
  • Engage with all key stakeholders to initiate, strategize, execute, and proficiently oversee large-scale sponsored elements.
  • Foster a strong collaboration with TEGNA Marketing Solutions while actively exchanging valuable insights with the sales team to drive effective marketing strategies.
  • Draft client marketing contracts and skillfully craft the required legal language for sponsored sweepstakes and contests, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and full adherence to applicable regulations.
  • Additional responsibilities as directed by the sales leadership team.

 

Requirements:

  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of three years of sales and marketing experience; media, digital, and account management experience are a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills while possessing the creative aptitude to merchandise data into creative client-facing presentations.
  • PowerPoint design skills, with an exceptional ability to distill complex information into easily digestible and visually engaging presentations.
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills to mitigate inevitable pivots in daily tasks.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced and ever-changing media environment where adaptability is crucial for thriving and achieving remarkable results.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to proficiently handle the substantial volume of writing, presenting, and effectively selling ideas, fostering seamless interactions and successful outcomes.
  • “Can-do” attitude with the ability to work collaboratively with the sales team and multiple other departments in a professional manner, exhibiting leadership and excellent people skills.
  • Proficiency with Power Point, ComScore, Wide Orbit, WOMS and Excel.
