At KING Media Group, the TEGNA-owned NBC affiliate in Seattle, we are looking for a Sports Partnership Activation Account Manager. As a Sports Partnership Activation Account Manager, you will manage the backend operations for all sports partnerships by taking ownership of fulfillment. You will manage the day-to-day responsibilities of accounts to ensure proper implementation of their solutions. As the Account Manager, you will also influence and drive sales by providing superior customer service and support across Broadcast Television and Digital, aiming at retaining clients and growing business.

What You Will Do:

  • Act as a lead contact for all activation fulfillment elements with sponsorship partners and advertisers like Seahawks, Kraken, Olympics, and others. 
  • Coordinate media elements and content (television, audio, digital, social media, OTT (Over the Top), etc.). 
  • Supervise the events and promotion execution, including retail marketing initiatives and non-gameday and community events and appearances. 
  • Network and attend events to host and entertain clients. May include evenings and weekends. 
  • Regularly track client audience delivery using ComScore ratings, digital impressions, and campaign fulfillment.  
  • Build professional presentations based on client needs & business development opportunities. 
  • Create and present seasonal recaps for sponsorships partners. 
  • Attend sales meetings and sales trainings to gain sales, product and process knowledge and keep abreast of company products and services in order to articulate to clients, when appropriate. 
  • Coordinate with leadership team across departments to identify station and client needs and timelines.  
  • Partner with Account Executives on identifying new/incremental revenue based on campaign results. 
  • Coordinate with team to set up new customer accounts, contracts, order entry and revisions through Wide Orbit Traffic. 
  • Assist Account Executives with maintenance of contracts, generating avails, traffic management, make-goods, collection, and overall customer service. 
  • Prepare all insertion orders prior to booking and ensure these orders have been precleared. 
  • Coordinating tickets, merchandising and hospitality elements.

 

What You Need:

  • Minimum of two years of account management in a professional, fast-paced sports media sales environment. 
  • Proven record of successfully retaining and growing clients. 
  • Knowledge of marketing solutions including broadcasting and digital advertising is preferred. 
  • Demonstrate strong verbal communication skills and ability to proactively communicate with clients, co-workers, and vendors to manage tight timelines.  
  • Established writing skills to write/edit proposals. 
  • Previous working experience using Microsoft Office suite, Photoshop & CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems. 
  • Able to independently make decisions and solve problems to support customer needs. 
  • Self-motivation and willingness to work as a team player are essential attributes. 
  • Demonstrate ability to be creative, flexible, and able to adapt to evolving priorities.

 

Pay Range
$65,000$77,000 USD
