The Treasury Analyst will support the Director of Treasury Operations and the Treasurer with various Treasury activities including financial analysis, internal and external reporting, and ad hoc projects related to Treasury Operations, Risk Management & Insurance, Asset Management, and Corporate Finance. The Treasury Analyst will perform moderate to complex finance tasks working under general supervision with latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. This role requires discretion in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria, and networks with a wide variety of individuals at all levels of the organization to achieve results.

This position is based at our corporate headquarters in The Boro, Tysons, VA (Washington, D.C. area) with a hybrid work schedule (onsite and remote).

Responsibilities:

  • Provide managerial and analytical support across Treasury function, including treasury operations, account reconciliation and data consolidation and ad hoc analysis related to loan and bond debt, interest expense, invoicing, and banking and investment accounts.
  • Oversee resource and process improvement within the Finance group, including improved utilization of resources, information management, knowledge sharing and other tools used in the Treasury Department and the Company while balancing and managing work load.
  • Provide analytical decision support across Treasury and Finance function including financial modeling and ad hoc analysis related to special projects to drive understanding of business performance and management decision making.
  • Manage and oversee the access and archiving within various financial systems for ongoing reporting and document retention. Work with resources to compile and consolidate data with use of Excel and reporting templates including year-end reporting responses.
  • Develop reporting and ad hoc analysis of financial information for communications and presentations to executive management, Board of Directors, and investors.
  • Serve as primary back up for the daily cash operations functions including liquidity oversight and payments.
  • Example Scope of Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  Treasury Reporting

    • Consolidation reporting to include monthly and quarterly Treasury Report maintenance and archiving and reporting
    • Monthly reconciliation and forecasting for debt and interest expense

      Risk Management & Insurance

    • Assist with all insurance renewals and claims reporting and assistance
    • Submission documentation
    • Coordinating internal and external renewal meetings
    • Analytical and reporting support for leadership and manager
    • Manage Certificate of Insurance request and process system
  • Various risk management and insurance schedules including: owned vehicles share point, owned and lease property listing including towers, flood schedule and location schedules, FM Global property recommendations (DOT, FM Global), annual asset listing reconciliation (NSSC and FM Global), leased helicopter arrangement schedules (Legal), owned drones & aviation listing, maintain Director & Officers listing to recon at renewal.
  • Audit items: Payroll insurance audits, oversight for Treasury Operations/Cash, TRP and 401k audit responses.
  • Other tasks may be assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance or related discipline; MBA and/or CTP a plus
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of finance professional experience in corporate environment
  • Excellent data analysis skills, including MS Excel
  • Proficient Office skills, as well as confidence in using new function specific resources
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to effectively communicate to all levels of management
  • Highly organized. Ability to manage multiple priorities to successfully meet established timelines
  • Ability to effectively interpret and simplify complex financial data and strategies in order to present polished accurate summary information
  • Works well independently and in teams.
