As the Content Manager, you will be the ultimate interpreter of our brand strategy, translating it into compelling everyday content placed at the fingertips of our key consumer groups. At its core, this Content Manager role is about creating intrinsic value and delivering it as a resource to our audience and the growing Western community.

This position is a hybrid role with the candidate strongly encouraged to work from our HQ office in Austin, TX with the ability to work remotely on other days.

What you’ll do:

  • Contribute to long-range and annual strategic marketing planning, shaping and integrating content strategy into our overall brand vision
  • Translate brand strategy into content themes mapped to target consumers and build a calendar optimized for strategic inflection points throughout the year.
  • Track down and craft stories across the Tecovas org, our network of partners, and throughout the broader industry that helps articulate our brand value and pull consumers closer to the Western mindset.
  • Play a critical cross-functional role between product marketing, digital data-driven organic content, and innovative growth-oriented content
  • Work directly with our marketing operations and creative teams to produce content that achieves brand marketing goals across all consumer touchpoints.
  • Manage and negotiate outside content partners/agencies to drive positive sentiment and healthy engagement in the Tecovas marketing ecosystem; oversee and negotiate all contracts to ensure the best partnerships and caliber of deliverables.
  • Create content GTM plans that leverage the full marketing ecosystems; amplify and integrate content assets across all other marketing efforts, with a dedicated eye on social, retail, PR/influencers, and partnerships
  • As a marketing leader, bring fresh ideas to the entire marketing org and take calculated risks to build overall brand affinity.

Experience we’re looking for:

  • 4+ years experience with all aspects of content ideation, development, and distribution
  • Experience leading and managing at least 2+ direct reports
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with ability to react quickly to changes and challenges
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to problem solving
  • Proven track record of creating content that engages audiences and pulls them closer to the brand
  • Previous experience building a robust network that connects you with exciting stories, people, and content creators
  • Experience in the fashion industry is preferred
  • Established connections and experience in the western and outdoor industry are a plus.

What you bring to the table:

  • You are able to thrive in a fast-paced, product-centric environment, working hand in hand with our merchandising team on new product introductions, pricing, and positioning.
  • You have great teamwork skills and experience managing people.
  • You have a deep understanding of and experience in a direct-to-consumer, e-commerce model
  • You possess the honesty to “tell it like it is” and pinpoint issues quickly, call out problems and negative trends or KPIs that need to be addressed. You are not afraid to say when something isn’t working and have the humility to admit mistakes.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
