Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Wellness Director will provide respectful, friendly, and high-quality care to residents while striving to help them maintain an independent lifestyle.
Job Profile
Maintaining and managing a full staff of employees by recruiting, interviewing, and coaching
Completing resident assessments and coordinating care plans as needed
Communicating effectively with internal staff and external third-party vendors
Assisting with leading monthly staff meetings and daily team huddles
Maintaining service agreements and updating physician order sheets as needed
Providing information to prepare and complete department scorecard
Setting up charts for new residents and entering appropriate information into the EMAR
Completing weekly cart, MAR, and chart audits and pulling expired medications
Entering incident reports and completing investigations alongside Executive Director
Assisting in evacuation of residents during emergency situations as needed
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Wellness Director, Director of Nursing, or similar, preferably in a senior care environment.
Active state licensure as an LVN/LPN or RN.
Excellent customer service skills with a strong focus on hospitality
Flexibility to work beyond normal working hours as needed, including weekends and holidays
Ability to handle details with urgency, accuracy, and efficiency, ensuring that work is completed in a timely manner
Ability to maneuver various computer programs and maintain accurate data entry
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with, or without reasonable accommodation
