About the Role

The Senior Regulatory Product Subject Matter Expert is a clinical industry thought leader, ensuring compliance of health IT government regulations and enabling Tebra Clinical products and services to deliver solutions that simplify regulatory compliance and enable our providers to realize the benefits of quality programs and interoperability.  The Regulatory SME is Tebra’s foremost expert on CMS & ONC regulations and regularly monitors the industry for updated guidelines, emerging compliance rules, and notable opportunities to expand our offering.  

The primary focus of this role is leading  Care Delivery product and go-to-market (GTM) teams with industry and product insights that allow them to design, build and launch solutions that resonate with customers and differentiate Tebra from its competition. Additionally, The Sr. Product SME Regulatory position will be directly responsible for the expansion of Tebra’s Incentive Programs, by driving adoption and increasing value prop for providers.

At Tebra we strive to create a clinical experience that strengthens the patient provider relationship. With the ever changing regulatory landscape, providers need an EHR that guides them through industry changes without impeding care delivery. 

Your Area of Focus

  • Advise leadership on emerging regulatory technology and trends and identifying market opportunities and threats for the Tebra product portfolio.
  • Stays knowledgeable of broader health IT community initiatives and initiates efforts to ensure EHR remains technically competitive within the broader marketplace
  • Clinical industry recognition and credibility by participating in Tebra and third-party technology webinars, conferences, trade shows, and press events as an attendee, panelist, and speaker.
  • Drive awareness and adoption of Tebra Regulatory solutions by partnering with Product and Marketing to draft and deliver compelling presentations, thought pieces, product demos, and prototype solutions.
  • Work closely with legal to ensure proposed implementations do not violate any legal standards.
  • Educate cross-functional teams on the final rules as they relate to the individual team; provide or assist in the preparation of materials for this education.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders
  • Gain a deep understanding of your product and leverage data and consumer trends to make strategic and tactical decisions
  • Champion the clinical quality experience to drive practice value 
  • Integrate product goals and customer needs with certification requirements and expectations to product roadmaps and development plans
  • Collaborate with other product teams when regulatory requirements impact their roadmaps.
  • Partner with UX’s primary market research activities, including competitive analysis, contextual inquiries, surveys, focus groups, usability and compliance studies to identify market problems, business challenges, and refine requirements.
  • Partner with User Experience and Engineering to define requirements and understand cross-platform needs 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring products to market
  • Communicate with stakeholders to ensure alignment, escalate risks and mitigation strategies as needed
  • Align with the needs of enterprise teams to bring a feature to market and support it once in production
  • Interface with other product squads, and cross-functional teams as needed to deliver a cohesive customer experience.
  • Supervise and support product and engineering team in the enhancements so that they work in conjunction with customer needs, business objectives, and regulatory compliance
  • Participate in Extended Leadership Meeting, reporting on regulatory updates bi-monthly
  • Ensure that the product backlog is visible, transparent and shows what the team will work on next
  • Maintain and prioritize the backlog to ensure upcoming features are refined and validated  
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog to best achieve goals and missions 
  • Complete certifications and attestations with Drummond
  • Maintain certification by completing Drummond quarterly attestations and ONC twice annual attestations

Your Professional Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of experience managing SaaS products, healthcare technology, FitTech (fitness tech), patient-facing 
  • Familiarity with major EHR systems, processes and data flows into and out of these EHR systems
  • Superb written/presentation/oral skills, ability to easily interface with customers, executives, peers and engineers
  • Ability to identify metrics/key performance measures and use data to drive decisions that enhance the customer & user experience
  • Adaptable and comfortable with an often fast-paced and dynamic startup work environment
  • Comfortable with being hands as needed and understands that no job is beneath a team member
  • Experience working with Agile and Scrum methodologies
