The Senior Facility Technician supports and oversees operational activities at one or more Teague locations throughout the Seattle area. This position works closely with both Teague and our client staff to keep Teague‘s operations running without a hitch.

Why We Need This Position

Work spaces don’t just take care of themselves. A company that is envisioning the future of aviation has a lot of moving parts—we need people on the ground dedicated to making sure that the place runs like a Swiss clock. That’s where you come in.

Who We’re Looking For

A technical mastermind with deep nuts-and-bolts facilities knowledge, great people skills, a no-detail-is-too-small approach, and several years of experience coordinating a broad range of operations. This role involves wearing many hats and putting a wide array of skills to work on any given day. For starters, this position oversees maintenance at various Teague facilities, solving a variety of HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, painting and electrical repair issues. This person is also certified to operate forklifts, scissor lifts and other equipment—and can certify others to do so. This person is also a stickler about safety and compliance—this means ensuring Teague facilities meet or exceed all local code requirements; that all work is being done in a safe manner; and that liability insurance is in effect for contractors prior to work getting under way. This forward-thinking taskmaster schedules preventative maintenance for all facility systems, retains accurate records of all maintenance and repairs, and generally ensures that the facility is clean and inviting and functioning optimally at all times. It’s essential that you enjoy working with others, whether you’re interacting with the Teague facilities teams or external clients, property managers, or contractors. If you think you have that magical combination of day-to-day fix-it skills, a deep understanding of safety regulations; high standards for maintaining a shipshape environment; and great operational wisdom—oh, and a love of planes!—have we got a job for you.

What We Just Said, Now in 6 Bullet Points (a.k.a., Essential Qualifications)

  • Experience: College degree in related field or vocational training program certificate; 5-10 years of facility maintenance experience.
  • Special skills: proficiency with common business software; experience with material handling equipment and ability to certify users; ability to operate power tools; ability to coordinate repair of electrical/lighting, plumbing and HVAC systems; in possession of a Washington driver’s license and experience driving a box truck or similar vehicle; excellent communication and organizational skills.
