Who You Are:

A collaborator at heart, you partner with producers, creatives and business leaders alike on all business and legal aspects of production. From bid to wrap, you help make creative ideas happen by being an advisor throughout the production process. You are capable of helping to push projects of all types into exciting new arenas, from experiential, social, video and emerging tech.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Strong people and negotiation skills
  • 4+ years’ experience in a business affairs manager function at an integrated agency or production company
  • Experience working on social, influencer and digital productions and contract negotiations.
  • Knowledge and experience in online and social media content usage and rights and content creator partnerships.
  • Knowledge of SAG-AFTRA guidelines, waivers, celebrity and influencer multi service agreements (P&H, tracking etc.)

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Work together with supervisor, to support oversight of the social team to ensure the team is following process for vetting all materials created for any infringement risks.
  • Partner with Legal as needed to assess risk and negotiate agreements
  • Facilitate internal communication between teams so projects move forward (flag legal issues, content constraints, timing, etc.)
  • Maintain effective communication with team leads to make sure information flows properly, action items are clear, and issues are escalated at the right time and to the right people.
  • Partner with Production, Account Management and other internal partners to manage projects from creative development through post-production to final client billing.Includes managing negotiations and approvals of waivers, celeb/influencer contracts.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and trackers around waivers, releases, clearances and licenses.
  • Familiarity with SAG-AFTRA guidelines, waivers, celebrity and influencer multi-service agreements (P&H, tracking etc.)
  • Big picture thinker who is proactive, anticipates potential issues, and deals with them effectively.
  • Detail oriented, resourceful, multi-tasking, quick learner, who knows how to deal with various types of personalities.
  • Advise on client and agency guidelines according to project needs, adheres to Client process and procedures.
  • Ballpark costs with Producers to gauge client feasibility for production projects.
  • Review and negotiate vendor bids with Producer and Production Consultant (if applicable) for feedback and approval.
  • Secure all necessary production insurance.
  • Draft and issue production contracts, talent agreements, music agreements, and any necessary waivers or releases as needed.
  • Responsible for new Vendor Set-Up process.
  • Issue and manage all vendor PO’s and invoices.
  • Maintain job status reports to ensure costs incurred are accurate.
  • Create and reconcile estimates.

Location:

Given the nature of our Production team and the client assigned to this role, we are only considering candidates that currently live in or wish to relocate to New York City, in the near future (first 60 days of employment).

The annual salary range for this role is $95,000-$115,000 and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic location and experience. Other compensation includes relocation costs, if applicable.
