What you’ll do:

  • Let empathy be a guiding principle from the starting discovery phase of the project, through to finished deliverables, creating usable/focused designs representing an innovative perspective and application of best practices
  • Translate the product roadmap and detailed requirements into meaningful product solutions by collaborating with product managers, engineers and internal stakeholders
  • Lead the product process in its discovery phase and facilitate design thinking exercises, brainstorms, and workshops. Inform and validate ideas by conducting user interviews, usability tests, and other UX research methods
  • Create user flows, wireframes, low and high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes to communicate design ideas at the appropriate level of fidelity in a collaborative manner with product, engineering, and internal stakeholders
  • Rationalize UX solutions with data, improve designs through user feedback, and thoughtfully question the status quo
  • Understand technical functionality and constraints and iterate to meaningful solutions within those constraints
  • Collaborate with the Design team to influence, expand, and improve the Tatari Design System

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience designing digital products and user interfaces
  • Ability to convert raw information and user problems into an intuitive user interface
  • Expert level design execution skills, including interface, interaction, visual design
  • Strict attention to detail in terms of layout and a good sense of hierarchy
  • Keen sense of empathy and user-centered design
  • Navigate and control modern interface design tools with ease (Figma, Sketch, Zeplin, Adobe CC, etc.)
  • Experience with prototyping as a means to explore and convey design solutions.
  • Demonstrate deep critical thinking, clear communication, and embraces collaboration and feedback
  • Excellent presentation skills, demonstrating deep thinking, clear communication, and embracing collaboration and feedback
  • Curious about new tools and technologies and drive experiences to be seamless, modern and trend setting
  • Experience with data visualization is a plus

Nice to have:

  • UX/Product design portfolio or case studies (minimum of 2) demonstrating unique perspective and contribution to products that have shipped, with successful outcomes
  • A resume that demonstrates the skills and expertise listed above
