About the job

As the Editorial Content Manager at Tatari, you'll be at the intersection of journalism and content strategy by developing a narrative using investigative rigor. Reporting to the Director of Growth Marketing and collaborating with various teams, you'll craft compelling content that informs, engages, and resonates deeply with our audience, combining journalistic integrity with marketing acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a content strategy that merges traditional marketing with compelling storytelling and in-depth analysis, utilizing journalistic techniques to engage readers.
  • Create a diverse range of content, including investigative industry trends and narrative-driven articles showcasing our brand's influence in the TV advertising domain.
  • Construct a portfolio of premier case studies that blend narrative elegance with factual precision.
  • Cultivate relationships with industry experts and thought leaders to introduce unique insights and perspectives into our content.
  • Apply journalistic principles across various content forms, maintaining accuracy, relevance, and engagement on all platforms.
  • Design and execute a strategic content marketing plan, innovating in areas such as video content and AI to scale and enhance our SEO efforts.
  • Collaborate closely with product marketing, sales enablement, and client teams to develop and implement a content roadmap that supports business objectives.
  • Drive content initiatives directly with executive leadership, developing copy and content strategies that align with company goals.
  • Manage the evolution of Tatari's online resources, optimizing content for visibility and impact.
  • Explore and implement innovative ways to scale content production and distribution, potentially incorporating AI and other technologies to drive efficiencies.
  • Own the creation and management of client-facing materials, including newsletters, blogs, white papers, webinars, research reports, infographics, case studies, and social media content.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, English, or a related field is required. 
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in content marketing working for companies in the ad tech industry or as a journalist or editorial member writing for major marketing and advertising publications (such as Adweek, AdAge, AdExchanger, and Digiday) is preferred and highly valued.
  • Storytelling and Editorial Skills: Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a portfolio that showcases a wide range of content from deep investigative journalism to engaging marketing collateral. Natural storytelling ability with a knack for turning complex concepts into compelling content.
  • Content Marketing Expertise: Strong ability to develop content ideas and an editorial calendar that aligns with marketing plans and broader business goals.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with product marketing, sales, client teams, and external partners to craft a cohesive and impactful content strategy. Experience in building and leading a team of content creators is a plus.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in fast-paced and dynamic environments. Flexible and open to evolving responsibilities and changing priorities. Comfort with ambiguity and proactive in finding creative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Strategic Thinking: Evidence of strategic thinking and planning abilities. Able to conceptualize long-term content visions and operationalize day-to-day activities that align with broader marketing objectives.
  • Innovative Mindset: Interest and capacity to explore new content formats and marketing technologies, including AI-driven content creation tools. Willingness to experiment and take calculated risks to enhance content engagement and reach.
  • Professional Attributes: Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills. Intellectual curiosity with a continual desire for learning and professional development. Demonstrates initiative and seeks increased responsibilities.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to a variety of audiences. Proven ability to build constructive and effective relationships with internal teams and external partners.
