As a registered representative you will be providing French support for clients throughout all lines of our business.  You will be primarily responsible for providing effective client service and trade desk support for tastytrade Canada clients by utilizing sharp, in-depth knowledge of all retail brokerage services. This would include trading software features and functionality, account management, and any other questions about the tastytrade platform. You will work to provide seamless account opening experiences, superior client relations, and attentive account maintenance for our clients.  You will assist clients on a wide range of technical issues encompassing everything from basic website and platform navigation to software installation. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 4 PM CT or 8 AM - 5 PM CT, depending on staffing needs  
  • Provide friendly, accurate, and efficient trade desk, general support, and technical support via chat, email, and phone 
  • Assist clients with complex option order execution 
  • Analyze client positions and provide advantages and disadvantages for various strategies 
  • Work with clients to identify their needs as self-directed investors and provide solutions in a timely manner 
  • Assist clients with new account applications, account maintenance, and banking requests 
  • Comply with industry Anti-Money Laundering (“AML”) regulations and assist the AML Officer 
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues 
  • Assist users with installation, navigation, and settings issues 
  • Translate and manage help center articles on our website 
  • Translate any client facing notifications such as margin and risk emails, corporate action emails, etc. 

Who you are: 

  • Fluent in French  
  • Strong interpersonal skills, effective in client interactions, and ability to identify appropriate solutions 
  • Extremely proficient with use of technology 
  • Understanding of option execution mechanics and pricing 
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment 
  • Experience or avid interest in the financial industry  
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and uphold applicable regulatory requirements 
  • Willingness to collaborate with teammates to address time sensitive issues 
  • Experience with technology, the cloud, and web-based and downloadable applications 
  • Familiarity with basic Mac, Windows, Android, and iOS operating systems, interfaces, and system settings (Linux is a bonus) 
  • Ability to navigate efficiently through a program’s interface functionality while assisting clients to do the same on their machines using only spoken instructions 
  • Well-spoken and ability to efficiently communicate with clients 
  • Ability to listen, understand, assess, and assist with any client issues, asking questions as needed and giving detailed directions in response 
  • FINRA Series 7 and/or CSI New Entrants 
  • Bachelor’s degree or related work experience
