About the Team

Targa's Finance team plays a critical role in the company by ensuring the right processes and systems are in place to sustain the growth of the business, from day-to-day operations, financial reporting & analysis, to securing the appropriate short and long-term funding. We collaborate with teams in different countries to promote best practices across the organization, and to facilitate standardization of processes.


How You’ll Contribute

As the Accountant based in the Mexico City office, your mission will be to support the Finance team to achieve a high-level of timeliness and accuracy in delivering financial statements, monthly closing, and in day-to-day accounting processes for Mexican and US group entities. You will report to the Accounting Manager based in the NY HQ, and will collaborate with other team members in Mexico and abroad, as well as with external partners.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Issuing all electronic invoices, payment receipts, and credit memos (CFDIs) in accordance with Mexican regulations
  • Review and verify all incoming accounting documents for accuracy
  • Coordinate with vendors, internal teams, and external accountants to provide or request accounting information as needed
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments (Operations, Sales, Purchasing)
  • Post transactions in NetSuite ERP software
  • Provide reports to the Accounting team and external partners 
  • Assist with posting bank statements, transactions, and bank reconciliation
  • Assist with the monthly closing process

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years experience working in Accounting
  • English fluency
  • Attention to detail and diligence -- you will be responsible for handling critical, high-value transactions
  • Ability to communicate and work in English as part of an international, cross-functional team
  • Intellectual curiosity and a mind for numbers
  • You are self-motivated, and possess a strong sense of urgency to achieve your objectives with minimal supervision
  • You maintain a positive attitude under pressure
