Salary: £45,000-£50,000 + up to 20% bonus

We’re building an amazing team and we’re looking for an ambitious and purpose-driven Senior Data Analyst to join the team.

What you will be working on:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Accountability for individual performance and contribution to achieving KPIs set by the business
  • Query the Data Warehouse using SQL, Excel and Power BI as appropriate
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and scope the analytics necessary to inform their decisions
  • Present Analytics projects with the customer, business and financial consequences clearly laid out in a manner the target audience will find approachable and easy to understand and offer reasoned recommendations
  • Identify when analytical concepts form key performance indicators and work with the Data team to get them implemented in our reporting structure
  • Ensure that customer data is protected and that confidentiality is always respected
  • Demonstrate that customers are at the forefront of all decisions (both internal & external), and communicate information to them in a way which is clear, fair and not misleading
  • Ensure analysis considers not only the question posed and desired outcomes specified by stakeholders but also the customer impact so these are consistently factored in to our decision-making proce

What we're looking for: 

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience, skills and behaviours:

  • Numerate degree {Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering etc} or equivalent
  • Coding proficiency in some form of SQL (preferably MS SQL), an analytical/mathematical language (preferably DAX and Python but equivalents are acceptable) and the capacity to self-teach as our tooling is in a consistently evolving state
  • Experience and proficiency in MS Excel including advanced functions and bespoke graphs/formatting (experience in Power Query and Power Pivot desirable)
  • 2+ years knowledge of consumer finance, banking or similar
