As the Director of Product Engineering, you’ll be responsible for building out fullstack teams and driving the technical strategy that allows Tally to quickly and reliably create new product features to help our users manage debt. As the owner of Tally’s core client experience, you’ll work closely with our product and design teams to deliver high caliber user experiences, balancing speed of delivery with technical excellence.
A Day In the Life:
Partner closely with Product Management, Design and Business Operations teams to create, drive and deliver an innovative, compelling and user-friendly experience to our customers.
Build and lead the cross-functional engineering team responsible for critical user facing features.
Determine a quality assurance strategy for our mobile and web applications and effectively scale our quality assurance team to execute accordingly.
Work with company leadership, team members and product management to create the technology strategy, roadmap and key deliverables to enable rapid, high quality feature development.
Provide a key voice in business, technical and strategic discussions and decisions within Tally, both within Engineering and at a larger leadership level.
Hire, coach, and promote teams of frontend, backend and fullstack engineers and managers
Foster a healthy, collaborative, and inclusive culture that embodies our company values.
Experience leading teams that work collaboratively and cross-functionally to rapidly iterate on consumer product experiences.
5+ years experience successfully leading, managing, and coaching strong, diverse, and motivated teams
2+ years of identifying, hiring and coaching management talent within your own organization
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
