The Engineering Operations team at Tally is responsible for the overall IT service delivery to the entire company. As a Senior IT Support Engineer, you will be upgrading and installing hardware and software, handling helpdesk support for employees, coaching new IT team members as well as planning for what the team will look like as the company grows.

Role impact:

  • Provide support for Tally employees: respond, resolve and troubleshoot in a timely manner
  • Manage employee expectations with regular communications and updates on technology and performance concerns
  • Carry out employee onboarding and offboarding process for a distributed team
  • Collaborate with Engineering, People Operations and Legal to continuously introduce improvements and automation to existing processes
  • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to IT themes and processes
  • Manage IT assets and inventory
  • Manage suppliers in the provision of technology products and services, holding them accountable for timely and quality outcomes
  • Project-based work to support, maintain and enhance Tally’s IT program
  • Collect IT metrics and make recommendations for enhancements as needed
  • Be proactive and knowledgeable on relevant technologies and products to be considered for the IT Program at Tally
  • Train and coach new team members

In this role, we value:

  • Proven track record building an IT program in a fast-paced environment (corporate or retail)
  • Experience troubleshooting and supporting Windows, Mac OS, and Linux platforms
  • Experience setting up end-user laptops, software, printers, wifi, and peripherals
  • Knowledge in implementing and developing IT administration best practices
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Confident communication skills (written and verbal) with peers, executives, and external partners
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and contribute with improvements towards employee productivity and efficiency
  • Experience coaching new team members
