The position reports to the Finance Manager.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Implement and manage efficient cash collection processes around the various payment methods used within the organization including external party management.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding transaction fee invoices to ensure timely payments. In addition, performing detailed analysis on transaction fees to provide valuable insights on costs and identify costs saving initiatives.
- Analyze and interpret revenue financial data, prepare reports that summarize findings and provide actionable insights.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget performance and provide analysis on budget vs. actual results.
- Prepare daily bank uploads and support the cash accountant.
- Assist the Inventory accountant with various ad hoc tasks to optimally meet inventory requirements.
- Maintain and update financial databases and systems.
- Undertake various financial tasks as needed, including data analysis, reconciliation, and financial research.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address any ad-hoc financial requests.
- Generate results using new or existing tools.
- Automate existing processes, drive technological improvements, and build future fit efficiencies around cost optimization.
- Continuous improvement of processes within the department
- Managing month end processes and reporting

Qualifications and Experience:
- BCom, or equivalent tertiary qualifications in Finance
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Project management experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
- Advanced in MS excel advantage
- Experience with BI tools (Qlik / Power BI / Looker / SQL)
- Action orientated.
- SAGE Evolution experience an advantage.
