About the Role 

We are looking for our next Business Development Manager who will be focused on expanding current customers and engaging new customers in portfolio sales. Passionate, hungry & empathetic are key traits we’re looking for in this cross-functional sales professional. Ideally, you're someone who can dream, think strategically, communicate value propositions and operationalize their vision. 

As one of the first business development managers at Tailorbird, your work will have an outsized impact on our current and future product. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our customers experience exceeds their expectations and by doing so, that Tailorbird’s business objectives are exceeded. You will use your ability to discover and understand the customer’s businesses to help them achieve their goals. As a relationship facilitator who has a preternatural understanding of our customer's needs, you'll work closely with a team of Tailorbird product managers and engineers to build highly responsive software applications. 

This role is remote 

You’ll Get To 

  • Execute go-to-market strategy to ensure over achievement of business revenue objectives 
  • Own customer relationships from the CEO strategy level to the Analyst tactical level 
  • Design, obtain stakeholder buy-in and execute programs to improve outcomes and reduce risk 
  • Provide hands-on leadership, mentoring and prescriptive guidance to diverse teams 
  • Develop and grow industry relationships 
  • Build a startup, a go-to-market strategy, a network and a product 

We’re Looking For 

  • 5+ years of demonstrable sales and/or account management experience, while consistently hitting sales goals. 
  • Experience developing sales processes and GTM strategy for early/mid-stage venture backed startup.  
  • Ability to gain the confidence of customers, industry executives, and colleagues 
  • Curiosity around navigating enterprise accounts and complex org charts 
  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills. Possess both customer and partner empathy 
  • Superior listening skills, a strong sense of urgency with a bias towards action and execution
