About the Role:
Taho is seeking a crypto-native growth leader to define and execute the growth strategy for our community-owned web3 wallet. Working closely with Taho’s Project Lead, you’ll ensure that we are bringing a compelling story to market — one that engages our long-standing community, attracts new audiences, and grows our community and user base in lock step with our ambitious roadmap. The ideal candidate is passionate about our vision of a user-owned wallet and can draw on 3-5+ years of experience leading the growth and marketing function on at one or more early-stage team.
As Taho’s senior-most growth leader, you’ll develop and orchestrate our overall growth strategy across all channels; set top of funnel growth targets and experiment with creative new ways to achieve them; and work hand-in-hand with team and community leaders to execute activations and ongoing initiatives that deliver on our roadmap.
Taho is currently incubated inside Thesis, the studio behind Fold, Keep, tBTC, Threshold, and Embody. We’re a fun, down-to-earth, fast-paced, highly collaborative, and fully remote team.
About You:
  • You’re comfortable and experienced in owning company-level growth strategy. You have a working knowledge of just about every level of the go-to-market stack; you have practical, hands-on knowledge of a variety of growth and marketing frameworks and know how and when to bring them to bear
  • You’re a believer in the promise of crypto and legitimately care about our ecosystem’s ideals of privacy, transparency, user empowerment, creativity, and experimentation. Ideally, this means you’ve also been actively involved in the space for 2+ years—either full-time or as an active user and community member of projects in the space
  • You’re a seasoned, storied early-stage operator who’s equally comfortable working on top-level, multi-year strategy and rolling up your sleeves, and executing on the month’s top priority. You love creative, ‘blue sky’ thinking and get energy from experimenting with new ideas and gambits. At the same time, you’re also self-directed and scrappy and know how to make pragmatic decisions that balance near-term and long-term goals
What You’ll Do:
  • Work with Taho’s Project Lead to define and execute our overall growth strategy and drive top of funnel growth
  • Set top-level growth targets, KPIs, model growth, and own go-to-market goals
  • Work hand-in-hand with Taho leadership and your reports to execute on a mix of growth campaigns, ongoing initiatives, and community activations to achieve our team goals
  • Source, incept, and prioritize creative new growth ideas and run growth experiments across channels
  • Collaborate with our community leaders to help harness the power of our 100K+ community and user base to amplify our efforts
  • Manage our external resources to exercise oversight over Taho’s brand voice, content strategy, social media engagement, and PR efforts
  • 3-5+ years experience as a growth or marketing leader, with a track record of successes you can point to—as well as one or two non-successes that you’ve learned and grown from
  • 2+ years in crypto/web3—either full-time, as a user / community participant, or ideally both
  • Early stage, ‘zero to one’ stage startup experience
  • Experience working in a remote work environment
  • Exceptional, high-empathy communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Previous experience managing a small team of at least 1-2 individuals
