About the Role:

We currently have an opening at our Foothill Ranch, CA (Orange County) for a Sales & Proposal Engineer. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver compelling technical proposals for energy storage, power conversion systems, and EVSE in response to RFPs, RFIs, and other requests for information.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to understand customer requirements and develop tailored solutions.
  • Work closely with engineering and product management teams to ensure technical accuracy and completeness of proposals.
  • Assess the financial viability of proposed projects, performing financial analysis and cost-benefit analysis to evaluate their economic feasibility for different use cases.
  • Conduct product presentations and communicate with clients to gather requirements, propose customized solutions, and address any concerns or questions.
  • Contribute to the development of the company's overall sales strategy for energy storage and power conversion systems.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with clients and internal teams to provide technical support during the implementation phase.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in energy storage, power conversion systems, and EVSE industry regulations and standards, and competitor offerings.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure proposals meet customer requirements and align with the company's capabilities.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Renewable Energy, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 + years proven experience in the electrification sector (BESS, PV, EV, EVSE, and others).
  • Strong knowledge of the renewable and energy storage market landscape, policies, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
  • Proficient in knowledge of Microsoft suite, and CRM systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
