About the Job: 

The Digital Technology Product Owner oversees our growing network of quick service restaurants. The ideal candidate has strong experience in restaurant technology and IT service management. Reporting to the Technology Director, they will be responsible for enhancing our technology systems and service delivery.

 

The Day-to-Day: 

  • Provide leadership, vision and direction for the digital technology stack to ensure it will contribute to the company achieving its goals.
  • Coordinate with various market point of contacts to tailor the digital strategy to best meet the individual markets needs.
  • Develop productive relationships with cross-functional leaders throughout TB Europe to influence how digital technology can enable new sources of value for the restaurant.
  • Accountable for all aspects of release and project management for the digital technology stack including the rollout plans.
  • Ensure that software processes (including those of external service providers) are conducted in line with our policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Manage relationships with major vendors and service providers to ensure they cost-effectively meet the needs of the organization.
  • Conduct regular surveys of stakeholder satisfaction with applications, publish the results and, where necessary, implement action plans to improve satisfaction.
  • Overseeing the assessment of the technical and business fitness of the application portfolio and their associated costs and risks.
  • Facilitating the application governance process to gain consensus on a prioritized set of measurable business outcomes that applications must support.
  • Working with stakeholders and the application governance council to define a prioritized set of business outcomes and application work to accomplish those outcomes within the limitations of the application budget.
  • Overseeing benefits realization to ensure that business outcomes are achieved.
  • Optimizing the cost, risk, and value of applications throughout their lifecycle.
  • Assisting in making appropriate budget requests needed to fulfill the restaurant technology roadmap vision.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to identify opportunities to continue to innovate and improve existing platforms for our digital experiences
  • Own the relationship with all key vendors, including aligning roadmaps and priorities, escalation paths, and influencing key innovation ideas.
  • Responsible for driving the creation of all necessary change management documentations including, but not limited to release notes, trainings, etc. to ease adoption into the restaurants.
  • Develop and foster relationships cross-functionally and cross-brand to create a roadmap that will allow TB to achieve its ambitious growth plans
  • Create strong relationships across the technology teams in all business units and the center to ensure TB Europe’s vision, strategy, and approach align with the global objectives for technology.

 

 

 

Is this you? 

  • Bachelors ideally in Business, Product Mgmt, Engineering or Computer Science
  • 5+ years professional experience in similar or related roles
  • Experience working with digital and consumer facing technology, specifically with robust ecommerce and off-premise ordering solutions
  • Passionate about innovation and technology
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills.
  • Data driven
  • Big picture thinker with ability to execute
  • Flexible and eager to drive change

  • Track record of thinking differently and producing innovative work
  • Desirable: In-depth knowledge of tech systems in quick service restaurants (e.g., KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Nando’s, McDonald’s).
  • Desirable: Familiarity with Yum brands' technology systems like NCR, Acrelec, Deliverect, Punchh, and LineTen across channels..
